Our coal car chugging sound was in sinc with speed of train. Battery went dead and after replacing it. Chugging sound works but doesn't match speed of train. Instruction manual mentions using a multi control system for adjustment. I don;'t have that. Any sugestions would be appreciated.

Aloha Bill,
Does you tender have a motor of it's own or is it strictly a sound tender? If it is a powered tender it should chug to the speed the motor is running at. If just has sound, and no motor, then there is usually a wire that connects the sound tender to the locomotive in order to "sync" the speed to the chugging to the engine's motor speed. Double check this connection to make sure it is getting contact with the engine. I hope this helps, Mako Kid |

Multi control system would suggest a digital train control system. What is the make and model of the coal chugging car?
